Actually,
from today’s media, it is obviously that most Americans begin to doubt about
the American dream. The doubt comes from economic sphere is in the news below. Though
American economy is still taking the lead of the world, it has been weak for a
long time. The trade deficit is extremely large and the wage keeps being
sluggish, which is disadvantageous for Americans’ life. According to American
dream, each one should easily become middle class through hard working. In
fact, many of them lost their jobs because of cheaper labor force from other
countries. As a result, most Americans are becoming pragmatistic. They stop
dreaming ideally and try to protect their own cakes. Donald Trump is their most famous
leader. The follow advertisement about Trump represents most Americans. They begin
to think of American dream in a realistic way. Trump said:” American dream is dead.”
In my view, American dream is becoming inequitable. The whites are still allowed
to word hard for their ideal life, while ethnic minorities and refugees are
becoming threatened. In conclusion, American dream has lost its core because of
the economic depression. It is doubted and becoming an inequitable dream.
